Does it make a difference how you brew

drip coffee machine.

I've found a huge difference in the coffee
taste by simply not using the paper filter
when brewing. I found a screened basket
that fits most drip coffee makers to replace
the paper filter.
(By the way, DeLonghi machines come with

You see, most of  the oils and crema stay
in the paper filter and never reach your
cup with that wonderful flavor we all enjoy!

History of Gift Baskets!

Although we might think of gift baskets as a

History on Flavored Coffee!

 Although many people regard flavored 

coffee as a modern invention, its origins 

are nearly as old as the original beverage 

itself. 

History shows that a few hundred 

years ago in the Middle East, people 

enjoyed drinking flavored coffee blended 

with nuts and spices.  

In modern times, innovative marketers 

have capitalized on coffee drinkers' 

desire for more flavors than nature can 

provide and have found new ways to 

introduce flavoring agents into coffee.

First, flavored syrups were used to spike 

brewed coffee with a touch of a favored flavor. 

More recent improvements in food science have

So, who are we?  It's always a good idea to know
who you plan on doing business with, you know,
establish some common ground to build a relationship
with.  My name is Joe Patanella and I'm married
to my wonderful bride, Linda for 43 years and counting.  
I'm Italian and was born and raised in New York.
We lived in the Bronx and Long Island until I was
12 and then we moved to Michigan.
 
Eventually I got married at the ripe old age of 18
and my bride was 17.  We raised two children,
Tammy, my oldest and Joe, my youngest.
We moved to Traverse City, MI. to enjoy the beauty
of God's creation.  The lakes with all the blues and
the greens of the Caribbean and the wonderful
valleys and hills known for their cherry growing and
wine vineyards are amazing.

As you can see from our intro., family and relationships
are very much a priority in our lives along with God's
direction and wisdom.

Why the Coffee Business?  Well growing up,
coffee was enjoyed by all in my family.  It was a
time to sip on our favorite brew and talk around
the kitchen table.  A time out of our busy day to
talk to each other and build on our relationships.
 
Many times there was uncontrolled laughter.
Other times many word's of wisdom were shared,
and oh yes there were those occasional
arguments or disagreements, but that was just
processing life together.

So, all that said we decided to expand on those
thoughts and offer you an opportunity to take time
out and enjoy life, sit around the table with your
favorite brew and maybe just maybe you will begin
the art of listening and communicating with each
other once more.

Heres one from yours truly:
So here I'am bright and early on a beautiful Wed. morning,
its summer time and everything is good. I'm an auto dealer
on my way to an auto auction to sell a vehicle. I just got it
out of the detail shop and it looks brand new, just right for
the upcoming sale.

I decided to stop off at the nearest coffee house to pick up my
favorite brew, yes you got it, a double espresso to go, with
some steamed milk to make it a cappuccino.

Ahh! yes the first sip is always the best! Now I'm one of those
guys that isn't happy about those plastic tops, you know
the ones that make it difficult to really enjoy that wonderful
brew. So know top, but smell that amazing aroma!

Now the vehicle I was driving was a 3/4 ton Chev. truck,
real stiff suspension. On my quest I was approaching a
railroad crossing, no big deal I cross these tracks all the time.
As I was driving I placed my espresso in the cup holder
on the console ,perfectly safe right.Wrong, very, very wrong!

As I crossed the tracks there was no mercy from that stiff
suspension I referred to earlier. I happened to look down
at my cup and what did I see. "A whirl pool began to erupt,
you know that circular motion that began at the bottom of
my cup and started rising to the top."

Remember my dislike for plastic tops? Yes you guessed it
before I could get to the cup, it was like slow motion movement,
it erupted all over me and my freshly detailed vehicle. I mean I
didn't think one cup of espresso could hit every crack and crevice
in the interior of that truck. I was wrong!

I now have a new found appreciation for toppers of
any kind and use them quite regularly.

Here are some safety tips we thought would be

Candle Use & Safety:
~Keep candles out of reach of children and pets.
~Keep wick trimmed between 1/8" and 1/4" to
  prevent smoking.
~Always extinguish your candles before trimming wick.
~Do not burn candle for more than 4 hours at a time.
~Never leave a burning candle unattended!

Container may become hot, handle with care.
~Store candles in a cool, dry place away from light
  to prevent fading.
~Keep burning candles away from drafts, vents and
  flammable objects.
~Keep matches and other debris out of the candles.
~Stop using your candle 1/2" from bottom of container.

Resurrection Sunday for me would be more
